The Colour of the Moon
image below consists of three separate parts (see above);
the colour image, the luminance image and a mask used in the
colour boosting process. Click on each of these to view how
they where obtained.
Below
is the final image in which the above images has been
combined followed by some final touches. Click on the image
below to view the final steps.

The
image is actually a mosaic of two images and to save me some
work the first steps (done in PixInsight) is shown only for
one of the mosaic images, i.e. half of the moon. The two
halves was merged in PhotoShop.
